"It’s funny how, in hindsight, ideas that once felt logical and coherent make you wonder, what the hell were we thinking? A rundown warehouse in the worst part of town. An 80-gallon still, cobbled together from salvaged parts by a hillbilly from Missouri. And the blind ambition that only comes from not knowing any better."

In 2013 Beehive Distilling was started by three friends who audaciously thought they could start a distillery in one of the most theocratic, alcohol adverse states in the country. With a little 80 gallon still and 1200 sq feet of production space in a run down warehouse. Beehive Distilling was born.

It was a simple plan, make spirits they enjoy drinking. Use local ingredients whenever we can. Get to know farmers and suppliers along the way.

They kicked off their journey with gin, infusing it with unique flavors and character. Soon, another gin joined the lineup, followed by a smooth vodka. With the draw of whiskey aging in barrels more space was needed so in 2017 they purchased a building—an expansive 10,000 square feet dedicated to distilling, barrel aging and their new endeavor canned cocktails. And of course, there was another gin—because, well, they really liked gin.

Beehive Distilling remains focused on working to push the spirits industry forward with authenticity and transparency.
